Cell Tour arrives in Philadelphia
Marking the 60th anniversary of the UN Declaration of Human Rights, and six years since the the attacks of 11 September 2001, Amnesty International is bringing a life size replica of a maximum security cell at Guantánamo Bay to several cities across the US.
On 30 May, the cell arrived in Philadelphia where it stayed for two days, until the 1 June. (more…)

Members of AI Canada marked the 6th anniversary of the first transfers of detainees to Guantanamo with a street drama demonstration in front of the Embassy of the United States, from noon to 1pm on January 11th. We made a vivid and visible statement against Guantanamo for the Embassy and passing traffic to see, and we were able to engage passers-by in discussions about security and human rights.
