Luxembourg: Poems and Music in the sixth anniversary

AI Luxembourg organized a public action in the main square of Luxembourg Ville, starting at 12h30 until 13h30. Eight activists were dressed up as Guantánamo detainees with orange jumpsuits and black hoods and other activists supported the action with big banners.

Actions to mark the sixth anniversary of Guantánamo in the United Kingdom started on 10 January, when Amnesty International activists in London organized an all-night vigil around a replica Guantánamo cage, filled every hour with a new ‘captive’.
On a global day of action six years later, supporters in orange jumpsuits gathered outside the U.S. Consulate in Sydney’s Martin Place to represent the nearly 300 detainees remaining in Guantanamo Bay.
